S O N A T A (2020)

This piece marks the passing of time.

For Solo Violin and Piano

Duration: ca. 4:30

Program Note

This piece marks the passing of time. Calm, soothing, and pretty: but also bustling and chaotic.

Dedicatory & Acknowledgments

Dedicated to the passing of time and our inevitable progression through it, as we impress our lives briefly upon the overarching scheme of history and those who have come before.

And a special thank-you to the phenomenal performers who premiered this work; I am truly fortunate to have been granted the time to gain insight into the idiomatic writings for violin and piano. Our rehearsals together were nothing short of spectacular, and I will always cherish the many memories we now share from this time.
